Project Name
Myriad protein to protein interaction through Y2H System
PRC
Myriad Genetics
Project Description
Identification of proteins involved in host/pathogen (Homo sapiens, B. anthracis, F. tularensis, Y. pestis, Vaccinia virus, Variola virus) interactions; Identification of biochemical pathways in pathogenic organisms; Identification of proteins binding to domains of membrane-associated proteins; Rapid translation of targets into high-throughput drug screens; Disrupting protein-protein interactions in high-throughput drug screens and elucidating protein-small molecule interactions; Elaboration of signaling and biochemical pathways and extension of biochemical pathways from previously uncharacterized genes.
Experiment Design
DISCLAIMER: The random two hybrid (R2H) assay was intended to identify bacterial proteins that potentially interact with human proteins. This data has served as a base to further validations in the directed yeast two hybrid (Y2H) system. The intention was to use this method as a high throughput screening tool and not to interpret specific interaction data on its own. Bacterial proteins have been nominated for Y2H searching using a statistical model. This data should be considered raw and includes good, bad and self activating searches. Myriad makes no guarantees as to the reproducibility of any interactions in this dataset.
